Welcome!
Stress in the workplace is common and unavoidable in many cases. Stress in the workplace, as defined by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, is the harmful, physical and emotional responses that occur when the requirements of the job do not match the capabilities, resources, or needs of the worker. The NIOSH goes on to say that job stress can lead to poor health and even injury.
When it comes to workplace stress,
40% of workers say that their job is really stressful.
26% of workers say that they are often or very often burned out or stressed by their work.
29% of workers say that they are quite a bit or extremely stressed at work.
In response to these circumstances, many supervisors, department heads, and wellness coordinators seek to organize activities and events in an effort to reduce stress in the workplace. Many of them opt to provide short chair massages in the workplace and during activities and events. Bringing massage to the workplace has become common in recent years. Many companies and schools, both large and small, incorporate massage in their workplace wellness programs.
