Stress and musculoskeletal pain that results from injury and repetitive use are constant occupational health risks. Among the most vulnerable are healthcare workers especially during this era of COVID-19. Combined with other factors such as long shifts and inadequate staffing, healthcare workers are at high risk for burnout which can lead to adverse effects on physical and mental health. Like other employers, many managers and supervisors of healthcare facilities are implementing activities and offering services to their employees in an effort to promote physical and mental wellness. Additionally, massage therapy can help improve employee satisfaction among healthcare workers. All of these benefits in a 10-15 minute session - the equivalent of a coffee break.
